Rodman will begin construction of a new 26 m long passenger catamaran, of its Rodman 80 model. With the option of a second sister ship, Rodman expresses his satisfaction with the trust placed by the Canarian shipping company, one of the most important in our country, in our professional boats.

 During the last few years, Rodman has successfully designed, built and delivered different types of catamarans, not only for passengers, but also for other uses, such as hydrographic and research catamarans or offshore support catamarans for offshore wind energy platforms.

The experience acquired in this type of construction places Rodman as one of the reference shipyards at a European level in this type of vessel.

The new ship, which will begin to be built in the coming days, will mark a new milestone for Rodman, as it is one of the most important shipowners in our country, which is firmly committed to transporting passengers with quality and comfort.

After several months of negotiations, the Canarian shipping company Fred. Olsen Express, has relied on Rodman to carry out the expansion of its current fleet of vessels. This new Rodman 80 has been specifically designed for the transport of passengers without a vehicle, focused on excursion tourism, in accordance with the requirements established by the shipowner.

The new Rodman 80, 26 m long and 9.80 m wide, will have a capacity for 250 passengers and will install two 1,450 CV engines each. In addition, they will have an indoor and outdoor deck, which is in high demand among the tourist public, as well as a bar-cafeteria service and on-board entertainment.
